Efficient campaign accounting for agencies

Pliant offers powerful features for tracking, managing, and reporting on campaign-related expenses, especially helpful for recurring costs with ad channels like LinkedIn, Meta, and others.

Designed to support accountants and tax advisors in pre-accounting and exporting credit card data, Pliant’s accounting tools allow for easy management of transactions and payments. These features are available within the web app to users with Owner, Admin, or Accountant permissions.

Step-by-step guide to campaign accounting

In the Admin View, users with accounting permissions can view and manage all transactions within the organization and start preparing them for accounting:

Step 1: Collect receipts

Easily identify transactions that are missing receipts to ensure that every transaction has a corresponding receipt attached for proper record-keeping. Useful features include:

  • Filter for Missing Receipts: In the Admin View, users can filter transactions to identify those missing receipts, helping to ensure every record is complete.

  • Automated Email Notifications: Set up automated email reminders to prompt users to upload missing receipts, streamlining document collection.

Step 2: Enter accounting details

With Pliant, adding accounting information to each transaction is quick and efficient.

  • Enter Key Accounting Details: Add details such as categories, VAT rates, cost carriers, and cost centers. When available, many of these details are automatically extracted from uploaded receipts.

  • Set Accounting Rules for Recurring Merchants: For recurring expenses—such as payments to ad platforms like Google or Meta—establish accounting rules at the merchant level. These rules automatically pre-code transactions with relevant accounting details, saving time in the monthly accounting process.

  • Split Transactions: For transactions that involve multiple VAT rates, Pliant allows users to split entries to ensure precise accounting.

Step 3: Exporting Data to your accounting system

Once transactions are prepared, exporting to your accounting system is straightforward and efficient.

  • Review and Pre-code Transactions: Verify all transaction details in the preliminary list to ensure accuracy.

  • Export for Seamless Integration: Select individual or multiple transactions for export. Pliant automatically formats exports for your accounting system, so they’re ready for upload without additional adjustments.

With these features, Pliant simplifies the accounting of marketing agencies' expenses, enabling efficient pre-accounting, precise data management, and streamlined integration with accounting systems.
