Pliant now supports internal transfers between your own card accounts—including cross-currency conversions—enabling faster liquidity management and funding without relying on external payment networks.

What are Internal Transfers?

Internal transfers allow eligible organizations to move funds between their Pliant card accounts. Transfers can be made in the same currency or across currencies, with conversions handled directly within the platform.

Key benefits include:

  • Instant liquidity: Most transfers are completed within 5 minutes.

  • FX support: Convert funds between currencies using real-time exchange rates.

  • No external steps: Transfers occur entirely within the Pliant platform.

Who can use Internal Transfers?

To access this feature, your organization must meet the following requirements:

  • Account setup

    • Your organization must have two or more active Pliant card accounts (same or different currencies).

    • Accounts with a zero or negative balance cannot initiate transfers.

  • User permissions

    • Only users with the Admin or Owner role can initiate transfers.

How to initiate a transfer?

To move funds between your Pliant accounts, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Accounts page
Navigate to the Accounts section in your dashboard. You’ll see a Send money icon (→) on account tiles with a positive balance. This option appears only for eligible users and accounts.

  2. Click the icon
This opens a transfer window where you can set up the transaction.

  3. Choose sender and receiver accounts
Select the account you're transferring from and the one you're sending funds to.

  4. Enter the transfer amount

    • For same-currency transfers, enter a single amount.

    • For cross-currency transfers, input either the amount to send or to receive—Pliant calculates the rest using real-time FX rates.

  5. Review the FX rate (if applicable)
The exchange rate is fixed for 25 seconds. If the window expires, a new rate is fetched.

  6. Confirm and transfer
Click Transfer to complete the transaction.

Where to find transfer records?

Completed transfers are visible in several places within your account:

  • Individual Card Account pages

  • CSV exports

  • Monthly statements (PDF)

  • Bill payment reports

All relevant balances are updated in real time following the transaction.

Activation and access

There’s no need to request activation. If your organization meets the eligibility criteria, the internal transfer option is automatically available in your account interface.
