Team budgets allow you to monitor the spend of your teams relative to a target monthly spend. Unlike card limits, reaching the monthly budget for a team does not result in declining card transactions. The respective team managers as well as owners and admins receive notifications when a team's total spending has reached 80% of the monthly budget.
The team budget functionality is a premium feature, meaning that only organizations on our premium subscription plan can activate it.
To set a budget for an existing team, follow these steps:
Navigate to the "Teams" page and click on the edit button of the relevant team.
Click "Edit team budget".
Select "Yes" and enter the desired budget amount.
Click "Save". The budget will be displayed in the team tile relative to the spend made by the team in the current month.
A budget can also be assigned to a team directly when creating a new team, after the "Set manager permissions" step.
