This article explains
How to sync/import G/L accounts, VAT rates, supplier accounts and a maximum of two standard classifications from Oracle Netsuite to Pliant
How to set up default values which act as fallback in case transactions are exported (pushed) from Pliant to Oracle Netsuite
Important: To complete the steps described below you first need to make sure Pliant is connected to Oracle Netsuite successfully by following this article.
G/L Accounts
Select the relevant G/L accounts. This can be changed at any time.
Assign the G/L account to a category to support members assigning them to transactions using the Pliant UI.
VAT Rates
Sync the relevant VAT rates. This can be changed at any time.
Suppliers
Sync the relevant suppliers. This can be changed at any time.
Important: Please make sure that the supplier you are going to use in Pliant does support the various expense currencies. If you don't want to deal with multiple currencies you can choose to disable the expense currency option in the sync options.
Classifications
As an optional step two classifications can be imported and mapped to
Teams (Cost centers)
Projects (Cost units)
General accounts
After successfully linking Oracle Netsuite and Pliant, select the General Ledger Account for the Pliant Credit Card Account as well as the Default Values for Customer & Supplier in the General section (under Settings > Accounting).
Sync Options
Currently, we do support two ways to push transactions from Pliant to Oracle Netsuite.
Using expense currency: If this (default) option is choosen, we push the transaction currency to Oracle Netsuite e.g. if the credit card transaction was done in USD but your card account is in EUR we are going to push USD currency to Netsuite. Please make sure that the assigned data fields (G/L account, VAT rate and supplier) do support the currency
Using card account currency: If the option “Use expense currency” is turned off we will push all transactions in the base currency to Oracle Netsuite - independent of the actual transaction currency. In this case, we are adding the conversion rate to the description.
Next steps
Once successfully connected please follow the steps described in this article to start pushing transaction and receipt data to Oracle Netsuite.
